Forever revisits every class while keeping distinct strengths and trade-offs. Start with the revised toolkit rather than a ranking from another edition. This overview reflects Blizzard’s beta class notes available on October 17, 2026.

Read the talent milestones

Talents start at level 10. The announced trees keep one-point milestones at 11, 21 and 31 points and add a 16-point milestone. Talent changes, including Legacy talents, are handled by class trainers in major cities. Dual Specialization becomes available at level 40. A familiar-looking tree can therefore lead to different choices.

Compare how classes have changed

Hunters gain combat-usable traps and pets that scale with their gear. Druids gain more freedom to use consumables and interact while shapeshifted, alongside the out-of-combat Revive spell. These are concrete toolkit changes to read before carrying over assumptions about how either class plays.

Choose a role, then read its notes

Paladin’s deep dive separates Holy’s healing and spell options, Protection’s tanking tools and Retribution’s weapon and Holy damage choices. That is a useful way to assess any class: look at the role and abilities you want to use, then inspect its actual Forever talents. The beta notes remain subject to change, so they do not establish a final damage ranking.
