Weapon DPS feeds form auto-attacks in Forever, and most consumables work without leaving shapeshift. Blizzard's form changes make those two checks part of preparing your leveling Druid. To see how the Druid ranks for leveling against the other classes, read our best leveling class guide.

Since this page was written, Blizzard's November 2 development notes reworked several Druid talents and raised Bear Form threat from 50% to 115%. Our Druid leveling guide covers the changes that matter for leveling.

Scope: beta mechanics checked October 17, 2026. This guide covers early training and preparation, with current corrections to older Druid advice.

Check these early spell milestones

LevelBaseline abilityPreparation
10Nature's GraspFind its binding and read its current effect.
12RevivePut the out-of-combat resurrection somewhere easy to find.
20Omen of ClarityRead its Clearcasting interaction before adjusting your routine.

Blizzard's Druid deep dive establishes these milestones. On a trainer visit, review newly learned actions before leaving. Arrange them so an unfamiliar icon does not disappear among older spell ranks.

Compare weapons for your form play

Weapon effects also work in form. Blizzard's shapeshifting explanation covers that equipment change.

When considering a replacement, put the two weapons side by side. For form damage, compare weapon DPS alongside the other effects and the values you would give up. Keep the old weapon until you understand the trade-off. An item's name alone cannot settle that choice.

Keep equipment decisions for healing separate from the weapon comparison you make for form damage. Before a dungeon, decide which job you agreed to perform and inspect the equipment you intend to take.

Put usable supplies within reach

Most Engineering bombs remain an exception to consumable use in form. Blizzard lists that restriction in the form changes.

Read the particular item's restrictions before relying on it. Place your intended recovery item on a reachable binding and check it in the form you expect to use. Prepare your self-heal and group-support controls too, so changing the immediate job does not begin with searching the spellbook.

Use current Shred and Furor advice

October 15 moves Shred's first rank to 20 and lets Furor retain Cat Energy through Bear forms, which still prevent Energy regeneration. The beta notes supersede older instructions.

Check the current tooltip when evaluating a talent interaction. For the wider talent framework, use our Forever class overview. Choose your next preparation task around the abilities you can use now, rather than a copied level-60 allocation.
