These WoW Forever leveling tips are habits, not hour promises. Use them on top of a real route (best leveling route) and the beginner guide. For the session playbook, see speed leveling.

The 18 tips

Routing and planning

  1. Pick one route per character. Switching guides mid-bracket costs flight paths and log space.
  2. Clear quest log before continent hops. Forever routes were adjusted around the 40-quest log—don't fill it with greys.
  3. Grab every flight path the first time you pass. Future you will hearth and fly more than you walk.
  4. Set hearth to the hub you will return to this bracket, not a sentimental capital.

Experience buffs

  1. Log out in an inn or capital every time. Open-world logout builds rested much slower (Classic rule; Forever hasn't rewritten it).
  2. Spend rested XP on kills, not on a chain of turn-ins. Rested doubles kill XP only.
  3. Eat crafted food before kill streaks. Blizzard: small experience bonus on crafted food; Warcraft Tavern reports ~5% kill XP for ~15 minutes, lost on death—check tooltips.
  4. Use Camp Tent when rested is nearly empty, then respect the one-hour Boosted Rest lockout.
  5. Finish the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain (level 14+) when you can spare the travel—up to +3% XP reported.

Combat and death

  1. Pull what you can finish. Deaths erase more XP/time than cautious pulls lose.
  2. Vendor and repair on a schedule, not when bags explode mid-camp.
  3. Train weapon skills and class spells when you hit town—grey hits waste time (weapon skills).

Dungeons and groups

  1. Run each dungeon once with its quests. October changes cut dungeon quest XP and raised kill XP ~20%.
  2. Don't get boosted by a high-level friend for XP. 8 October notes: no XP if a member is far above the enemies.
  3. Duo elite quests you would skip solo (duo leveling).

Account systems

  1. Reach Legacy unlock (~level 25) so Well Rested and friends exist for alts (Legacy, alt leveling).
  2. Save toward riding even early—community reports put Apprentice Riding near 100 gold at 40; Blizzard confirmed mount-included-with-training.
  3. Try free route tools before you pay. RestedXP 1–20 is free; Questie is free. Paid routes buy time, not a shorter XP curve.
