Stormwind Stockade in WoW Forever: Level, Quests and New Loot

The Stormwind Stockade in WoW Forever has the biggest loot change of any low-level Classic dungeon: its bosses finally drop real gear. It's still a short Alliance prison run in the Stormwind canals with five bosses and a rare, and RestedXP makes it a mandatory Alliance stop. Ranges come from fan reads of the client; Blizzard hasn't published levels for Classic dungeons (Wowforevertierlist). Every dungeon's quests are in our dungeon quests guide.

Forever-specific changes

Real boss loot. The wiki says Classic Stockade bosses mostly dropped nothing but quest items. In Forever:

This fits Blizzard's line that "hundreds of new drops have been added" and unique dungeon boss items are now blue (Deep Dive recap).

No Legacy point. Bind on Forever marks most dungeons with a Legacy point, but not the Stockade. If you're hunting Legacy points, it doesn't count.

The Stockade Riots ends a chain that starts with An Unsent Letter from Edwin VanCleef in the Deadmines. The wiki notes the listed rewards are Classic's and weren't confirmed for Forever.

Bosses

Targorr the Dread, Kam Deepfury, Hamhock, Dextren Ward and Bazil Thredd, plus the rare Bruegal Ironknuckle. Kam flees at low health and Dextren fears into the next cell, so clear around them first.

How Forever changed dungeon XP and loot

• Quest bonus cut. Blizzard's October 1 notes say "Dungeon quests now reward 50% less extra experience beyond normal quest values." The normal quest XP stayed, so a dungeon's quests are still worth doing once.
• More XP from kills. The October 8 notes raised experience from dungeon creatures by about 20%, made the party XP penalty apply per member, and lowered dungeon quest rewards from Rare to Uncommon.
• Loot was re-examined. Blizzard's Deep Dive recap says "every dungeon drop has been re-examined", hundreds of new drops were added, unique dungeon boss items are now blue and set bonuses were improved. If a bind-on-pickup Uncommon or Rare drops, its appearance goes to every eligible looter.
