  • Dungeon configurator clean up (Forever)
  • l10n refresh of addon source strings, plus Pontoon updates for deDE, esES, frFR, ptBR and zhCN starter guides (Classic, retail and Guides packs as listed on GitHub)

3 November 2026: the major update (addon v4.11.30)

RestedXP called its 3 November post a "major update", and it is the biggest change since orders opened.

  • Dungeon Leveling Guide restructured. Each faction now has a mandatory list and an optional list. Our RestedXP Dungeon Guide page has both lists. Horde's mandatory list includes Ragefire Chasm, Ruins of Lordaeron, Wailing Caverns and Shadowfang Keep. Alliance's starts with Hall of Thanes, the Deadmines and Ruins of Lordaeron. Desolace was dropped from the Horde Dungeon Guide.
  • 40-quest log. Routes now use Forever's larger quest log.
  • Routing changes: a deathskip into Ruins of Lordaeron, reworked Night Elf and Hunter routes, Mage teleport steps, Shaman Water Breathing steps, and two Alliance Redridge additions ("Wanted: Incinerator Gar'im" and "Blackrock Blockade").
  • A solo video for "Counterattack!", the tough group-style Barrens quest, now shown solo.
  • Still to come after launch: Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold and Shaper's Terrace. The Drowned City is not on either list. If you want to run it, our Drowned City guide covers it.

The addon side shipped as v4.11.30 on GitHub, published 3 November 2026 at 19:42 UTC. Its notes list "added .enabledungeon rfc/rol/wc", "Fixed missing quest turnin steps Forever", "Added Counterattack solo video", a Draught of Water Breathing fix, and Hunter and Priest spell updates.

17–29 October: dungeons, Era support and deathskips

  • v4.11.24 (17 October): "Added new forever dungeons to list", added a dungeon-selection override, and turned deathskips back on. It also brought large Alliance and Night Elf Dungeon Guide updates and a reminder for 5% XP food on seated steps.
  • v4.11.25 and v4.11.26 (17 October): turned off dungeons in the solo guide and improved the dungeon selection prompt.
  • v4.11.27 (21 October): Durotar and Night Elf polish, a "travel step from Southshore to Ruins of Lordaeron" video for Alliance, and an earlier Rogue poison quest. Deathskips for level 10 and up were switched off again, and tornado locations were added to the map.
  • v4.11.28 and v4.11.29 (28–29 October): "Enabled forever guides on era", plus Dungeon Guide fixes from QA and 19–20 Redridge Speedrun updates.

9 October 2026: Phase 1 complete (1–35)

The 9 October post marked levels 1–35 as done and started Phase 2, the Dungeon Guide. Its key figures:

  • Skyborne: a full Zephras Isle route, 1–12 for Horde and 1–14 for Alliance.
  • New Forever quests added: 62 for Alliance and 63 for Horde, counted zone by zone. Our Horde and Alliance leveling guides list them.
  • New race and class combos: Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest and Human Hunter on the Alliance side, and the Undead Paladin "Redemption" chain on the Horde side.
  • Route changes: a Loch Modan (14–16) detour for Night Elves, the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain, and the new boats.

Addon releases around it: v4.11.20 (8 October) improved the Night Elf Loch Modan section. v4.11.23 (10 October) added the "Engraved Ring / Sleeping bag part 1" steps and temporarily turned off the guide configurator.

18 September – 6 October: beta builds

From v4.11.1 on 18 September 2026, almost every release worked on Skyborne routing and the Forever starting zones. Highlights:

  • v4.11.5 (20 September): "Added 1-6 Human Hunter Forever".
  • v4.11.8 (22 September): converted guides to a dedicated Forever tag and removed non-leveling Forever guides.
  • v4.11.12 (30 September): updates to the Barrens, Teldrassil, Darkshore and Mulgore, plus the first "Dungeon Guides WIP Forever".
  • v4.11.16 (5 October): rebuilt the inventory manager with support for Blizzard's Forever bags, Bagnon, Baganator, ElvUI and other bag addons.
  • v4.11.18 (6 October): made the Zephras Isle route work for non-Skyborne characters.
