RestedXP offers a free addon and sells its Forever leveling guide separately. Installing the addon does not establish that you own every route or that every planned part of its Forever guide is finished.
For a useful starting point, check three items: the addon's supported game flavor, the guide you can access and that guide's current level coverage.
What is available for Forever?
The publisher's CurseForge page lists 4.11.23, released October 10, under WoW Forever. In its October 9 progress update, RestedXP says its 1–35 leveling guides are finished. It describes further beta improvements and work on the dungeon guide.
The author's release notes list the same version and note that the Forever guide configurator is temporarily disabled. That version-specific interface limitation is separate from guide coverage and purchase access.
The same update includes Skyborne starting routes for both factions, with class quests and onward transitions. This establishes specific announced coverage; it is more useful than assuming that a general 1–60 product description means every step is already available.
Free addon and paid route access
The addon is the software that presents the guide. The Forever guide product is route content offered for purchase. Before paying, install the supported addon, inspect which Forever guides are available to you and read the product's current coverage description.
A locked or absent route is a different problem from an addon that does not load. First establish which one you have. If the interface opens and other guides appear, check the guide entitlement and the publisher's account instructions before reinstalling the entire client.
Avoid comparing a Forever purchase with the price of a different WoW edition's product. Check the product name, faction and compatibility together.
Checked Forever guide prices
The official Forever shop listing displayed these dollar list prices on 17 October 2026:
| Guide | Displayed price |
|---|---|
| Alliance | $30 |
| Horde | $30 |
| Both factions | $45 |
The product description explicitly says the guide is still being created and is not yet fully complete. Read that scope before purchasing. Regional checkout totals, taxes and later price changes may differ from the listing above.
Choose a faction package according to the characters you intend to level. The broader package has little value to you if you have no plans to use its second faction.
Match the route to your character
Before leaving town to follow a sequence, check the guide's faction, level range and starting context against your character. Read the next few instructions and compare them with your quest log.
If you have already completed part of the route, identify where your progress joins it. If an instruction depends on an earlier pickup you skipped, establish that prerequisite before travelling farther. A guide can organize the journey; your current character state still determines which steps you can perform.
The publisher's October 9 update notes that some Alliance quests appear only with Show Group Quests enabled in Guide Routing. Inspect the selected route options before treating an omitted group quest as missing content.
Decide whether following a route suits your session
An authored route is useful when you want the next activity chosen for you. For a session built around friends, exploration or reading every new quest, consider how often you expect to step away from that sequence.
You can use the Forever leveling overview to choose your priorities and the dungeon guide overview to plan group activities. Keep those goals visible when deciding which addon instructions to follow.
RestedXP's original Forever announcement says development continues through beta and launch, with future updates included. Treat the published roadmap as development plans. Base a purchase on the coverage you need now and the publisher's current terms.
